Pickleball Charleston is proud to partner with No Kid Hungry to help end childhood hunger.
No child should go hungry in America. But millions of kids in the United States live with hunger.
No Kid Hungry is working to end childhood hunger by helping launch and improve programs that give all kids the healthy food they need to thrive. This is a problem we know how to solve. No Kid Hungry is a campaign of Share Our Strength, an organization committed to ending hunger and poverty.
No Kid Hungry works to eliminate any barriers that stand in the way of a child having access to food. No Kid Hungry supports programs like school breakfast, food banks and other community groups feeding kids, and push for legislation to strengthen programs like SNAP to help feed more kids.
Know you're making a difference.
For every tournament registration, Pickleball Charleston will donate 3% of the total registration fee to No Kid Hungry. For every $1 donated, No Kid Hungry will be able to provide 10 meals for children in need.
Every kid needs three meals a day to grow up healthy, happy and strong. But today, too many children are missing those meals.
Here's What No Kid Hungry is Doing to Change This...
Schools & Community Meals
Helping schools and community groups get the resources they need to feed kids - not just lunch, but breakfast and afterschool snacks too.
Grants
Distributing grants to communities to help them get what they need to feed kids, from meal carts to refrigerators to delivery trucks.
Advocacy
Working with national, state and local elected leaders, fighting for policies that help families make ends meet - from expanding food assistance programs to cutting through red tape to help feed children during the pandemic.
Family Meals
Helping parents and caregivers access benefits programs for their children, especially families that may be struggling to make ends meet.
Research & Policy
Knowing what has worked in one community can be helpful elsewhere. No Kid Hungry provides experts, research, tools and training to help people across the country feed children.
Awareness
Working with celebrities, chefs, news media and major companies to make sure everyone sees the crisis of childhood hunger in the United States.
